Youth for Children 2008 : Philippines

July - August 2008

Year after I graduated in the University I was so uncertain of where am I to work or find a job. Its not easy to have a job living in a third world country much more if your a fresh graduate because all of the company are looking for experienced in your field. Its like a feel of hopeless and no direction.  Fortunate enough I was so active and involved in participating various youth ministries and advocacy in church and the wider community.

Thank God for giving me opportunities. One of those was I got a chance to participate the Youth for Children Program of the UEM (United Evangelical Mission) based in Wupertal, Germany. The program has it's partner church in the Philippines which is the UCCP (United Church of Christ in the Philippines. I am a member of the Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF) a youth armed of the UCCP which happen to be the host youth organization for this program. Ms. Shalom Tomas the President of the CYF invited me to joined and luckily one of the two who represent the CYF and the Phillippines itself. I'm excited of the program and also, because it's my first time to go to Manila-)
