The Forest Camp : relax and enjoy nature

April 2016

3rd Saturday of April, when me and my better-half Claire decided to go for a weekend nature stroll. Directly we head to The Forest Camp. Located in Valencia Negros oriental dubbed as the little Baguio of Negro Oriental due to its cold climate and sometime the temperature drops to almost 12-10 degree Celsius. The Forest Camp Resort offers the very relaxing and cool ambiance, if you need to be like in a close to nature experienced while your having a great weekend with your family and friends.

Entering the Resort you will see the Forest Camp Wishing Well, where it was thought that any spoken wish would be granted. The idea that a wish would be granted came from the idea that water housed gods or diwata or had been placed there as a gift from the supernatural being. Some also practice to drop coins believing coins would be placed there as gifts for the diwata to show appreciation.

Anyway, updated resorts entrance fee
for adults is 90 pesos and 70 pesos for children. Worry no more, this resort don't have corkage fee so you can bring your own food of your choice.

Paying entrance fee you are now entitled for a free table and chairs of your choice of location anywhere in the resort.

The resort is also abundant with flowering and others ornamental plants that adds color to your relaxing stay with lovely landscape scenery with in the resort.

That's us! hmmmm savoring the moment, our honeymoon stage continues. hehehe
witnessed by the innocent faura and fauna that surround us.

You must try their Wall climbing @ The Forest Camp .

They also have the skateboard bowl, it's like an empty in ground swimming pool perfect for skateboarding.

Its almost 10 in the morning, the secret here is that if you like to order some of there delicious menu, you have to call for advance order. They cooked your order so you have to wait for around 1 to 2 hrs.much more if it's peak season, you really have to develop the art of waiting.

They have the Special Pinaupong Manok because it's organic, range grown chicken. They also have Power Shake in fresh Buko and Malunggay powder flavor.

They have also freshly baked pizza. Almost all of what is in their menu are freshly baked. Promise they really have good food highly pleasant to the taste.

The Forest Camp Resort has been the host and venue for this Libulan Nights Festival, a full moon gathering of different genre, were food, music, drinks, party with bonfire' said one of the waiter that I asked. hmmmmm sounds interesting,I think I need to experience the Libulan nights, hopefully on there next edition.

Some of the resort landscape.

There are around four man made swimming pools in the resort all are fresh flowing water from Mt. Talinis water shed.

Tempting cool water. You've love to take a plunge.

Took photos on there swing tent/canopy.

They have big cottages, that can accommodate large number of guest.

They also cater garden or nature inspired events like  wedding, birthday and other celebration in there Functional Hall. Native function hall.

When your in the resort you will always be reminded of the mountaineers creed. Reminding every guest the importance of nature.

Its getting late in the afternoon, and so we have to say goodbye to this great place passing through this iconic forest camp hanging bridge going to the other side of the resort.

Looking forward of visiting you again.
